This policy is available in multiple languages. English is the default international version; Italian is included because the controller is established in Italy. Other translations are provided to make the same information easier to read for app users.

PresenteFrame Privacy Policy

PresenteFrame turns a tablet into a calm family display with a large clock, date, short messages and family photos. The product is designed with a local-first privacy model: personal content is stored on the registered tablet and the cloud component is used as a technical relay while the dashboard and tablet communicate online.

What data PresenteFrame may process

Depending on how you use the app and dashboard, PresenteFrame may process:

Photos, messages and album names may reveal personal or family information, depending entirely on what the user chooses to upload or write. PresenteFrame does not analyse those contents to infer health conditions, identity, emotions or behaviour.

Where data is stored

Photos, albums, messages, display settings, device roster and pairing credentials are stored locally on the registered tablet. The dashboard stores reconnection information and dashboard state locally in the browser used by the caregiver. Clearing the browser data or resetting/re-pairing the tablet removes or invalidates that local state.

PresenteFrame does not provide a permanent cloud photo library, a cloud family profile, a cloud account, or a server-side registry of all family devices. If the tablet is offline, the cloud service is not intended to keep a permanent copy of personal content waiting for delivery.

Cloud relay

When the dashboard and tablet are online, the cloud service routes WebSocket messages, pairing messages, settings commands and file transfer chunks to the selected tablet. This relay is used for transport and coordination. It is not the source of truth for photos, albums, settings, family membership or device ownership.

Content can pass through the hosting and relay infrastructure in transit. The service is configured so that personal content is not intentionally persisted as application data by the relay. Technical providers may still process transient network traffic and operational logs to deliver and secure the service.

Purposes and legal bases

No advertising tracking, sale or profiling

PresenteFrame does not sell personal data. It does not use advertising tracking cookies, cross-app tracking, behavioural advertising or commercial profiling. Photos, messages, albums and filenames are not used for advertising, data brokerage or machine-learning model training.

The dashboard may use local browser storage strictly to remember pairing/session state and user interface settings. This is functional storage, not advertising tracking.

Technical logs and retention

Hosting and relay systems may create technical logs containing items such as IP address, date and time, request type, message size, transfer status, error codes and security events. The service must never intentionally log photo file contents, photo chunks, private keys, group secrets, full pairing codes or private family messages.

Local photos, albums and settings remain on the tablet until the user deletes them, resets the app, removes the tablet data, or uninstalls the app. Browser pairing data remains in the browser until the user clears it, unpairs, or resets the dashboard state. Operational logs are kept only for security, diagnostics and legal needs, and for no longer than necessary for those purposes.

Service providers and international transfers

PresenteFrame may use technical providers for hosting, relay, content delivery, domain services, app distribution and build/distribution tooling. These providers process data only as needed to operate, secure and distribute the service. Providers may include infrastructure or platform companies outside the European Economic Area; where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, provider data-processing terms or other safeguards permitted by applicable law.

User and caregiver responsibility

The user or caregiver decides what photos, filenames, albums and messages are added to the tablet and is responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions for that content, especially when it includes other people. PresenteFrame does not pre-screen user content and cannot verify whether a photo or message is appropriate for a specific family situation.

Health and safety notice

PresenteFrame may be useful in a dementia or family-care context, but it is not a medical device. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, clinical monitoring, medication management, emergency alerts or medical advice. It must not replace supervision, professional care, clinical judgment or emergency services.

Children

PresenteFrame is not directed to children as an independent service. A caregiver may choose to display family photos that include children, but the caregiver remains responsible for using appropriate images and permissions.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and other applicable privacy laws, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent where consent is used. You may contact the controller at fabio@rapidosoft.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority, including the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Because PresenteFrame stores personal content locally, many privacy actions are performed directly on the tablet or dashboard: delete photos/albums, clear saved messages, reset the tablet, clear browser storage, or re-pair devices.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app, dashboard, relay architecture, providers or legal requirements change. The current version is published at presente.rapidosoft.it/privacy.
